The Peace Wapiti School Division owns and operates its own fleet of 145 regular school busses plus 3, 17 passenger buses equipped for extra curricular trips. 4300 students are transported daily to 31 schools in 6 different school districts.

Peace Wapiti School Division is the third largest transportation system in the province and each day 113 school bus drivers travel over 16,000 kms. in a total service area of 16,158 sq. kms.

The transportation Department has repair and maintenance garages in both Grande Prairie and Rycroft. Safety is undoubtedly the Board’s highest priority. A regular and thorough maintenance and inspection program is in place to ensure the fleet is always mechanically safe.
