Dear PWPSD Parents,
With a state of public health emergency declared by the Government of Alberta on November 24, 2020, the following three new mandatory measures will be in place for education province-wide, effective Monday, November 30, 2020.
In all schools, Grades 7-12 will move to at-home learning on November 30. This grouping of students will participate in at-home learning during November 30 - December 18, and January 4 - 8.
Students in ECS and Grades K-6 will continue to attend school until December 18. This grouping of students will participate in at-home learning during January 4 - 8.
All students will return to in-school learning on January 11, 2021.
Diploma exams are optional for the rest of the school year. Students and their families can choose whether to write the exam or receive an exemption for the January, April, June, and August 2021 exam sessions.Please review all mandatory public health measures currently in place, which apply to all Albertans, including mandatory restrictions on social gatherings:
No indoor social gatherings are permitted in any setting (private homes, public spaces or workplaces).
Outdoor social gatherings are limited to 10 people and must not have an indoor component.

PWPSD has launched its 7th annual Christmas Card Art Contest. Each year, the school division rotates the contest through grade divisions (Division 1: Grades 1-3; Division 2: Grades 4-6; Division 3: Grades 7-9; and Division 4: Grades 10-12). The 2020 Christmas Card Art Contest will be open to Grades 7-9 students enrolled at PWPSD schools. Contest rules and a printable PDF of the poster are included below.
