Our student-centered school offers a wide range of academic and practical courses in Grades 7-12. Junior high school students come from the communities of Sexsmith and the surrounding rural area. Students from Teepee Creek travel to Sexsmith for grade 9 while students from LaGlace come in grade 10.
In junior high school, students choose from a regular program of core subjects or an alternate program called Knowledge and Employability. The weekly timetable includes Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Phys. Ed. and Health. Junior high options include Cooking, Art, Cosmetology, Woods and more.
Senior high students have access to all core subjects and a vast array of electives including Career and Technology Studies such as Construction, Cosmetology, and Foods, as well as Fine Arts, French and Physical Education. A wide range of off-campus programs are also available.
Sexsmith Secondary's extracurricular programs include volleyball, football, basketball, badminton, track, travel clubs, rugby, Interact, Leadership Club, wrestling, Christian Club, and curling.
