Clairmont Community School opened January 5th, 2009 for students in Kindergarten to grade six within the community of Clairmont as well as the surrounding area. Clairmont Community School currently has 197 students enrolled and has been built to accommodate up to 550 students. Over the next two years, the school will begin to offer programming for grade 7 and then grade 8 students.
Clairmont Community School has been designed with modern technology, complete with SmartBoard Technology in many of its classrooms. It also has an oversized gymnasium, Home Economics room, Band room and three different multi-use computer stations.
In addition, attached to the school is the County of Grande Prairie’s Wellington Centre. The Wellington Centre provides residents a local Daycare and Playschool Program as well as a large meeting room available for the local non-profit groups.
