Monday, May 4, 2015 has been designated as School Bus Driver Appreciation Day – an opportunity for students, parents and staff of Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWSD) to recognize school bus drivers.
This morning, PWSD drivers were invited to continental breakfast events at the Northern Bus Shop located in Spirit River and the Transportation Office at Central Office in Grande Prairie, and also participated in prize draws.
PWSD manages the third largest transportation system in the province of Alberta. Each day, 103 school bus drivers travel more than 14,225 kilometres in a total service area of 16,159 square kilometres, transporting 3,900 students to 29 schools in three school districts.
Thank you to all PWSD Bus Drivers for your dedication, patience and commitment to safety.
