My Story
Spencer Markovich, age 19,
Spirit River, AB
I was drafted to the Fort Saskatchewan Rebels Lacrosse Team in Grade 12. Alternate Education worked around my schedule and I received my high school diploma after the 2016 season ended. Now I can pursue my goal to become a boatswain in the Canadian Navy.

Abby Dallaire, 19,
Grande Prairie, AB
Alternate Education let me focus on the courses I needed to become a paramedic. I worked at my own pace, asked multiple teachers for help, and had different concepts explained in multiple ways. I graduated in 2017 and am studying to become a paramedic in Calgary.

Korbyn Belcourt, 18,
Penticton, BC
I couldn’t concentrate in a classroom setting and preferred working in the comfort of my home. The program helped me grasp concepts and understand what was required. With the assistance of Alternate Education, I earned my high school diploma in 2016.
