Date to be announced 29th INTERNATIONAL FOOD FAIR.
All students from grades 1 to 8 are invited to participate in the fair. Students will have an opportunity to eat lunch together and taste a variety of foods from different countries.
We ask that students bring an international dish of food from home and that the dish be brought to the canteen by 10:00 a.m. The food can be cold or hot dishes, vegetables, fruits, or desserts. All contributions of food will be gratefully accepted. Please keep in mind when selecting a recipe, that in the past, the majority of foods brought to the school have been sweets.
The cost for a five item food plate for those students not contributing will be $3.00. For families with more than one student attending the school please be advised that one food contribution will cover all children in that family. The dish contributed by your child may not necessarily appear on your child’s table, since the entire school will be pooling their contributions.
*** Please note we have students who are allergic to nuts (peanuts, etc.) and related food products, so do not send foods that contain nuts.***
HELPFUL HINTS: - Please send any food that needs heating in crock pots, or containers which can go into a microwave. (Please do not send uncooked casserole dishes). Make sure that your child’s name and class is on every dish, dish lid, bowl, and utensil. Please label food as to its “nationality”.
