When does school start?  

Tuesday, September 4, 2018: First day of classes. Kindergarten start-up dates vary by schools – see information below.

School office reopening dates are listed in the chart below. All PWPSD offices and shops will be closed on Labour Day, Monday, September 3, 2018.

How much are school fees and where can I find them?

School fees for the 2018-2019 school year were updated in August after they received Ministerial approval. Fees are available under the Registration tab on your school's website. See list of school websites above.

How will I know if my bus will be on time?

Sign up for email notifications on the status of individual or multiple bus routes at http://transportation.pwsd76.ab.ca. Near the end of August, school bus drivers contact families to share pick-up times for the upcoming year. Please provide current daytime telephone numbers to the PWPSD Transportation Office at (780) 532-7734 and your school office. Remember that school zones will be in effect as of Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Drivers should exercise caution and adhere to posted speed limits. It is illegal to pass a school bus in rural areas when red lights are flashing.

 

How do I register my child for school?

PWPSD offers online registration for new students. To register your child online, click the New Student Registration link at http://www.pwsd76.ab.ca/registration. Schools provide computer access to those who do not have Internet service (see August office reopening hours in the chart above).

In September, families of returning students will be emailed a Snap Code to complete the Returning Student Update Form to verify demographic information such as address, phone number and emergency contacts.
