Congratulations to three PWSD students who were among nine youths recognized by the Grande Prairie Volunteer Services Bureau with Leaders of Tomorrow Awards at the annual volunteer appreciation luncheon on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.
The awards, presented by ATCO, recognize students aged 13 to 18 years old who have made outstanding contributions to their communities through volunteerism. Award recipients received a trophy, certificate and a $100 award, along with a $100 donation by ATCO to a registered charity of their choice.
Grade 12 students Revenelle Gladue (right) of the Peace Academy of Virtual Education (PAVE) and Heather Taylor (centre) of Beaverlodge Regional High School were recognized in the 16 to 18 years category. Grade 8 student Augustine Clarke (left) of Hythe Regional School was recognized in the 13 to 158 years category.
Revenelle selected The Society for Support to Pregnant and Parenting Teens as her charity of choice, Heather's charity of choice was Kidsport Grande Prairie, and Augustine's charity of choice was Grande Prairie Rotary House.
