More than 70 people attended the Wembley Grade 4 Consultation Meeting held Thursday evening, April 19, 2018. Following a presentation by PWSD Superintendent Sheldon Rowe, attendees were encouraged to express feedback on two possible options:
- Addition of two modular classrooms at Wembley Elementary School: Maintain the status quo – Grade 4 remains at Wembley Elementary School.
- Addition of two modular classrooms at Helen E. Taylor School: Grade 4 moves to Helen E. Taylor School, creating a K-Grade 3 (with additional space that could be used for a Junior Kindergarten) and a Grades 4-9 school.
PWSD trustees and executive team members gathered input from each table, recording comments on benefits/concerns forms. One representative from each table was selected to share key points with all attendees. The information supplied via the forms will be compiled into a report to help inform the Board's future decision.
