​Many thanks to the County of Grande Prairie for their continuing support of PWSD schools. Their lengthy list of grants announced on December 12, 2016 included:

• $40,000 for new playground base at Hythe Regional School
• $25,000 to the Whispering Ridge Playground Society for Whispering Ridge Community School
• $11,000 to Sexsmith Secondary School Sabres Football for irrigation system upgrades
• $8,500 to Clairmont Community School for benches and picnic tables
• $5,000 to Peace Wapiti Academy Titans Football to purchase 28 concussion helmets
• $600 to Dry Grad Committees - $200 each for Sexsmith, Beaverlodge and Peace Wapiti Academy.
