ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Teepee Creek School is located in the village of Teepee Creek. The Kindergarten - Grade 8 school serves 75 students and is the sole provider of educational services within the rural community. The school is staffed by six teachers and a five-member support team consisting of teaching assistants, a librarian and an administrative assistant. Teepee Creek School was erected in 1955, followed by the addition of a gymnasium, classroom and office space in 1965. To accommodate student population growth, a modular classroom was added to the facility in 1982. In 2013, the PWSD Board identified modernization of the school as the top capital priority for the 2013-2016 term. The project, announced in January, 2014, included an exterior facelift, landscaping, a new administrative office, the addition of a community kitchen and two new modular classrooms with a hallway link, and renovations to existing washrooms, gymnasium and classroom spaces. The school launched a new Junior Kindergarten program in September, 2016.
