The results are in – PWSD students bring home the hardware from Regional Skills Canada Competition

Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWSD) congratulates all students who participated in the Regional Skills Canada Competition (RSCC) on April 21-22 in Fairview, AB, and is pleased to announce that 17 students received medals at the event.

A list of medallists is included below. Only those who placed in qualifying regionalized events will progress to the Provincial Skills Canada Competition (PSCC) planned for May 11-12, 2016 at the Edmonton EXPO Centre. See note below.

Gold medallists from the PSCC event will form Team Alberta and compete at the 22nd annual Skills Canada National Competition in Moncton on June 5-8, 2016. See note below. For more information on the Skills Canada Competition, visit www.skillsalberta.com.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the Provincial State of Emergency that has been declared because of the various wildfires occurring across the Province of Alberta, the Provincial Skills Canada Competition will no longer be running at the Edmonton EXPO Centre May 11-12, 2016.

Competitors will still be selected for Team Alberta as we will still bring a team to the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) in Moncton, New Brunswick on June 5-8, 2016.
