Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWSD) is pleased to announce that Darrion Letendre, a member of Beaverlodge Regional High School's (BRHS) Class of 2014, has been selected as the recipient of the 2015 PWSD First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) Scholarship, valued at $1,000. Mr. Letendre has completed his first year at Augustana University in Camrose where he is majoring in Kinesiology and Sports Studies. The scholarship was presented on June 24 by Connie Calliou, FNMI Liaison Worker at BRHS.
About the award: PWSD's FNMI Scholarship receives numerous applications, and is awarded annually by random selection to an FNMI graduate of a PWSD high school who has declared his/her FNMI status on the PWSD registration form, and has registered in a post-secondary institution immediately following high school graduation.
