On Friday, March 27, 2015, Hythe Regional School (HRS) received a generous donation of $5,000 from Joe Alaimoana, General Manager of All Peace Protection, in collaboration with Horse Lake First Nation. The donation will be directed to the school’s Healthy Initiatives Program.
Barb Belcourt, FMNI Liaison Worker at HRS, initially approached Mr. Alaimoana for a donation to the program.
The Healthy Initiative Program benefits all students at HRS, providing them with healthy food choices when they need to recharge throughout the day.
Mark Buchanan of NuVista Energy has also pledged $1,000 to the HRS Healthy Initiatives Program.
The cooler used for the program was an earlier donation by the Greg and Kerri Kjemhus family.
