PWSD congratulates all students who participated in the Regional Skills Canada Competition (RSCC) which took place on May 1-2 in Fairview, AB, and is pleased to announce that nine students received medals at the event.
In the compulsory events, PWSD students dominated the intermediate hairstyling competition, bringing home gold and silver medals. Gold medals were also earned in baking, culinary arts and junior hairstyling, along with silver medals for cabinet making and carpentry, and a bronze in junior hairstyling. Gold and silver medalists in the compulsory events have secured their place at the 22nd Provincial Skills Canada Competition (PSCC) planned for May 14-15, 2014 at the Edmonton Expo Centre. In the non-compulsory events, one PWSD student received a bronze medal in the recreational equipment repair category.
