A - Foundations and Philosophic Commitments

- statements that clarify principles supportive of the public school system (legal entity);

-educational philosophy, which serves to guide the board in policy development

B - School Board Governance and Operations

- contains statements about the board as a corporate body (operations, procedures, practices and conduct);

- sets guidelines concerning relationships with its officials, committees and matters related to policy development

C - General School Administration

- policies pertaining to the chief executive officer and the organization plan.

D - Business Administration

- policies concerning the financial matters and control aspects of the school district;

- policies pertaining to budget, fiscal accounting and reporting and guidelines for effective and efficient stewardship of public funds;

E - Support Services

- policies that speak to non-instruction functions signifying important services and programs.

F - Facilities

- this section is intended to cover facility development and construction as well as related activities such as long-range planning, naming of schools, renovations, closures, etc.

G - Personnel and Employee Relations

- policies related to the school board's relationship to staff.

H - Curriculum and Instruction

- policies that deal with the total instruction program; they reflect the reason for being....to provide the best possible educational opportunity for children.

I - Students

- this section addresses the collective needs and welfare of students, individual needs, educational needs and welfare of society;

J- School Community Relations

- this section deals with relations with the general public, community organizations and other public agencies;
