Online Registration
To access PWSD's online registration and list of schools, visit http://www.pwsd76.ab.ca/SchoolInfo. Registration is not deemed complete until it has been approved by PWSD's Central Registrar. Families who are unable to upload the requested scanned copy of their child's birth certificate must bring it to the school office. Other documents, such as proof of residency and custody information may be required by the school office. If you are new to the system, where possible provide the school with transcripts or latest report card.

Enriched Personal Inquiry is an initiative for Grades 4 to 9 students of Peace Wapiti Public School Division, designed to celebrate student-led project-based inquiry. The student decides on the project, and with mentorship, is guided through discovery.

First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) Program
The FNMI Program at PWSD is designed to educate all students while enhancing the self-esteem of FNMI students and encouraging them to pursue their dreams and work to their full potential. The high school completion rate of FNMI students at PWSD is significantly higher than the provincial average. Schools offering FNMI programming seek to form collaborative partnerships with leaders and communities to support student success by developing culturally relevant programs, resources and student supports.

Student Accident Insurance Coverage

PWSD offers basic School Premises Coverage for all students during school days. This coverage will help cover some of the following costs in the event that your child is injured at school during school days, including during field trips and when traveling directly to and from home and school:
• Accidental Dental Reimbursement Benefits
• Ambulance and Special Treatment Travel Benefits
• Eyeglasses and Contact Lenses Benefits
• Many more benefits are included, as described in the brochure.

For more details on these benefits, please read the Blanket Student Accident Insurance Plan (Enhanced) Brochure. The insurance provider is Industrial Alliance Insurance.

To make a claim, read the Blanket Student Accident Claims Information Sheet and complete the Blanket Student Accident Standard Claim Form. You may also call 1-800-266-5667 for additional information about the policy, or 1-800-556-7411 for assistance with or information about making a claim.

Please include original receipts when submitting your claim. Prior to submitting your claim, make copies of all documents and store them in your personal files.

When submitting a claim for ambulance coverage, complete ONLY the top portion of the form. Do not complete the Attending Physician’s Statement portion of the form. Instead, attach a copy of the Hospital Discharge Report.

On the form, enter the name of the School Division as ‘Peace Wapiti School Division No. 76 and include Policy Number 100007783. This information is also found in the Blanket Student Accident Insurance Plan (Enhanced) Brochure.

In addition to the basic School Premises Coverage, you may wish to purchase optional Kids Plus Accident Insurance. Coverage under this plan is also available for your entire family.
