Trustee Biography

Career:
Before beginning his journey on the Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) Board, Trustee Speager taught for the Division for 34 years. He spent his entire PWPSD career at Hythe Regional School, where he taught for nine years before moving into an administrator's role. Trustee Speager retired in the spring of 2021.
Community Involvement:
Trustee Speager has been heavily active in youth sports over the years. In addition to coaching a number of school sports, he played a major role in local minor hockey, acting as coach and reffing for 15 years. Trustee Speager also spent five years as a volunteer firefighter.

"My goal is to ensure that Peace Wapiti Public School Division provides the best education possible for all its students."
